Trio-based long-read whole-genome sequencing of Thai transgender individuals

This dataset describes PacBio HiFi whole-genome sequencing of 24 Thai transgender adults and their biological parents from 23 families (22 trios and one quartet). The study evaluated whether rare single-nucleotide variants and small insertions/deletions support a high-penetrance genetic model of transgender identity. HiFi reads were aligned to GRCh38, and family-based variant calling was used to examine variants in 46 previously reported genes and across the genome, including inheritance and de novo variation.
