In this study, the objective was to investigate the key factors influencing the optimal performance of microbial fuel cells (MFCs) in treating wastewater with high sulfide concentrations, specifically focusing on wastewater from the processed canned pineapple industry. The research involved conducting experiments using different hydraulic retention times, namely a 2-day (M1) and 4-day (M2) retention period, to evaluate the effects of varying seasonal production levels, characterized as low (L) and high (H). By examining these parameters, the study aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of how MFC performance can be optimized for the treatment of sulfide-rich wastewater in the canned pineapple industry.

The aim of this study was to characterize the clinical features and outcomes of patients with JAK2 V617F- and CALR-unmutated essential thrombocythemia (ET) and to identify potential driver mutations through whole-exome sequencing (WES).
We study the diversity, population structure, genomic variation, and evolutionary relationships of Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. euvesicatoria and pv. perforans causing bacterial spot disease in tomato and pepper.
Transcriptome analysis reveals key defense genes associated with resistance to banana blood disease. Key molecular processes, including xyloglucan endotransglucosylase hydrolases, receptor-like kinases, and glycine-rich proteins, were enriched at 24 h post-inoculation, highlighting the activation of effector-triggered immunity (ETI).
We sequence 38 NSCLC patients whose cell-free DNA were extracted during chemotherapy and TKI inhibitors. The correlation with clinical outcome were accessed can complement with the estimation of ctDNA. A machine learning model were also developed to predict the final clinical outcome.
This research, we aimed to use a metabolomic approach to identify the potentially altered metabolic pathways in S. mekongi associated with PZQ treatment.
No study focused on understanding the progression of intestinal disease. Therefore, we aimed to identify early gut biomarkers of infection with three Schistosoma spp. and progression of intestinal pathology.
In this study, we applied untargeted metabolomic profiling to investigate potential urinary biomarkers of early infection with three intestinal species of Schistosoma using a mouse model.
In this study, we combined metabolomics and virtual screening to identify potential anthelmintic candidates for trichinellosis and ABZ-resistant nematodes.
In this study, we compared the fecal microbiome and the untargeted fecal metabolome of normal (BCS ≥ 3, n = 16) and thin (BCS < 3, n = 16) Holstein Friesian dairy cows.
The Thai Pediatric Cancer Atlas (TPCA) Consortium multi-omics dataset is a comprehensive resource designed to advance precision medicine for high-risk childhood malignancies, specifically focusing on neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, and pediatric brain tumors. To capture a holistic view of tumor biology and inherited risk, the dataset integrates four distinct molecular profiling modalities: Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) to identify somatic mutations and actionable targets in tumors, Germline Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) to detect heritable cancer predispositions, RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) to uncover gene expression patterns and oncogenic fusions, and proteomic analysis to map active protein signaling cascades. By uniting these multi-level molecular insights with clinical data across major collaborative medical institutions, this dataset serves as a critical foundation for discovering novel biomarkers, understanding tumor evolution, and developing personalized, targeted therapeutic strategies for pediatric oncology patients.

Anaerobic digestion (AD) has been used for wastewater treatment and production of renewable energy or biogas. Propionate accumulation is one of the important problems leading to an unstable system and low methane production. Revealing propionate-degrading microbiome is necessary to gain a better knowledge for alleviation of the problem. Herein, we systematically investigated the propionate-degrading cultures enriched from various anaerobic sludge sources of agro-industrial wastewater treatment plants using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Different microbial profiles were shown even though the methanogenic activities of all cultures were similar. Interestingly, non-classical propionate-degrading key players Smithella, Syntrophomonas, and Methanosaeta were observed as common prevalent taxa in our enriched cultures. Moreover, different hydrogenotrophic methanogens were found specifically to the different sludge sources. The enriched culture of high salinity sludge showed a distinct microbial profile compared to the others, containing mainly Thermovirga, Anaerolinaceae, Methanosaeta, Syntrophobactor, and Methanospirillum. Our microbiome analysis revealed different propionate-degrading community profiles via mainly the Smithella pathway and offers inside information for microbiome manipulation in AD systems to increase biogas production corresponding to their specific microbial communities.
